FELTY'S |
F.A.Q's "A classic reel with a revolutionary core" |

Where can I buy a FELTY fly reel? Are FELTY Fly reels large arbor? But these days with the development of fine diameter Gelspun backing materials like Bionic Braid, the equation has changed. Now the loss of 150 yards has a minimal effect on the Outer Diameter effectively making the extra width of the classic large arbor reel redundant. This would obviously not be the case for Billfish and other large Pelagics like big Tuna, but in the rod weights covered by Felty Fly Reels, being #3 to #11, we believe it is hard to justify carrying that extra bulk around for the sake of protecting your outer diameter when that 200 yard plus fish comes along. Felty reels allow you to match up your rods with a lightweight, tough as nails reel with a good diameter and comfortable retrieval rate. They are designed to compliment the most sophisticated of rods providing a compact, well-balanced outfit that is a pleasure to use. Remember, the large arbor debate is not about whether or not the reel has a false core, the issue is whether the reel has an adequate diameter to provide the retrieval rate you want. Can I change my FELTY Reel to left hand wind? How easy is it to maintain my FELTY reel? What type of lubrication is used for the
internal components of the drag
system? |
